FELONS Have No Voice
Felons Have No Voice
They brand us felons for any offense.
We lose our right to vote.
We lose our voice.
Yet, in the halls that are marbled with power.
Being a felon has a voice,
Being a felon can run the land,
Yet, felons have no voice.
Past mistakes take our power,
Past mistakes take our rights,
Past mistakes takes our second chance away,
Past mistakes takes our voice.
For the powers that be
Past mistakes takes no freedom
from them,
Past mistakes a felon maybe
But, the halls of presidency loom high
Felons have no voice
Without a voice there is no power
Without a voice we are invisible
How can a felon be president
But felons can’t vote
A felon can be president locked up
But felons locked up can’t vote
“Injustice anywhere
is a threat to justice everywhere”.
No power!
No voice!
Is an injustice, anywhere, and,
everywhere!
