Anjetta Williams-Brown (Anjie) Business Coordinator Williams recently retired from working at Tennessee State University (TSU) after serving as Business Coordinator for 22 years. She was the first African American female in Tennessee to pass the Educational Facilities Professional examination, a Facilities certification. She is a 1981 University Alabama Birmingham graduate with a concentration in Medical Records Technology. She is a 2009 Tennessee State University graduate with a concentration in Public Relations and Communications. She has served on various boards and organizations which include Soul Fire Poetry Group; TSU President’s Fellows Program; Past President and Charter President of Toastmasters, Inc.; Past Board Member Women in Higher Education in Tennessee (WHET); Past Board Member Tennessee State University Women’s Center. She enjoys writing and performing poetry, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is looking forward to publishing a series of inspirational poetry in various mediums. Her first poetry book debuted December 10, 2022; entitled "Pieces of Anjie: Poetry From My Soul.”
